To the Kasparians: I am deeply sorry for your loss. Alex was a good friend of mine all throughout high school (and was my first middle school crush). I think I can say for all of his friends that he was someone you always wanted to be around. He was truly genuine. Not many people put as much thought and caring into the observations and insights they bring to the world as Alex did, and it was an enlightening experience being around him. He had a unique combination of intellect and compassion, the influence of which will be felt forever by all who knew him. We ate lunch together senior year of high school, and Alex’s conversational fervor engaged the whole group. In economics class, he always said what he truly thought and stirred up debate, to the delight of everybody in the classroom. His passion for life was contagious and still is. I just wanted to tell you what a gift it was to be able to call your son (and brother) a friend and that I loved him dearly. Sincerely, Jeanette Goldwaser
