Dear Kasparian Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Alex was the best friend a person could have. I was fortunate enough to be able to share so many great experiences with him, from running XC, or track, taking drives with him, or playing video games with him I always enjoyed his presence. We would talk about the most random things. Alex was one of the few people I knew who took pleasure in the small things life had to offer. I felt that Alex and I shared the same rare attitude towards life, one which the great physicist Richard Feynman put so clearly: “I was born not knowing and have only had a little time to change that here and there.” Just two weeks ago when Alex was giving me a hair cut we were comparing C.V.S. to Walgreens and Eckerds. One of us mentioned that CVS stood for Consumer Value Store. We both knew what it meant as for other common acronyms people usually don’t know. And we shared in the fact that is so pleasurable to know these simple small things. How many other people enjoy talking about the meaning behind C-SPAN or other trivial things? Alex also taught me a lot about life and I admired so many qualities he possessed. He was an extremely influential force on my life and I will always keep the memory of him close to my heart. His Friend, Ethan Hathaway
