This site is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Alex. We would love you to share any and all memories of him with us.

October 1, 1987 – August 27, 2007 Alex was an absolutely exceptional person. Just 19 years old when a car accident took his life and changed our lives forever, he was mature beyond his years. He was exceptionally bright and exceedingly kind and loyal, and had an inquisitive mind, an amazing memory, and a wonderful sense of humor. That horrible night, Alex was driving back from his friend’s house where they had been watching movies. He was driving home in his beloved Honda Accord, for which he had saved his money for many, many years. According to the investigation, he was speeding. No drugs, no alcohol – that wasn’t Alex. The road was well-paved, had a speed limit of 55, and was traveled by cars and tractor trailer trucks (usually driving at or above the speed limit). We think that an animal ran out into the road; something made Alex suddenly apply his brakes. His car did not have anti-lock brakes, and the brakes on one side locked, and so the car turned and the driver’s side went right into a utility pole. A wide open field on either side of the pole – but his car hit the pole and so our lives changed forever. To remember Alex: -Do or say something kind today -Hug a person or animal that you love -Consider making a donation, no matter how small, to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society in Alex’s memory

Thoughts

Alex, I finally did it. I should be happy but without you here it's not the same. I wish you were here to share my excitement with me. You always helped me when you were here and I believe you are still helping me to this day. I would not have made it through the last few months without your guidance. I love you with all my heart. You will always be my hero. It is Christmas time and it's so hard not having you here. I went Christmas shopping today and everything reminded me of you.. I kept on thinking it's not fair Alex would love this. I will stay strong for you. I love you and would do anything to bring you back. Till the day we meet again. Marilyn

Alex, Missing you today, and always. You will always be my big brother, my friend, my protector, and my hero. Thank you for all you taught me. I miss talking to you more than anything, but I know one day we will take a drive and continue where we left off. Until then, keep letting us know how you are. Love you always and forever. Ani
